Reservation guided visits and activities

MUS.E Educational Department offers a weekly series of visits, activities and workshops dedicated to young people, adults, families, schools and special public aimed at highlighting the history of the palace and ongoing temporary exhibitions.

School groups are allowed to visit the museum subject to mandatory advanced booking.

Palazzo Medici Riccardi Bookshop

Bookshop

The Bookshop offers a wide selection of souvenirs, prints and objects as well as texts dedicated to the art world of both Italian and international publishers.
During temporary exhibitions, the bookshop also offers a range of special-interest books and items.

The bookshop is open daily, from 9 am to 6 pm, and closed on Wednesdays.

Accessibility

All the exhibition rooms of Palazzo Medici Riccardi, except the Chapel of the Magi, are fully accessible to people with impaired mobility. The Chapel of the Magi is accessible, by means of a special platform, to wheelchairs that measure a maximum of 70 cm in width and for a maximum total weight of 250 kg.

Upon request, a wheelchair is available at the info point.

Access for visitors with impaired mobility is from Via Ginori no. 2.

Cloakroom

There is an unattended cloakroom, free of charge, at the ticket office.
Visitors are kindly asked to check any large bags, backpacks, and umbrellas.
The cloakroom cannot store suitcases or any kind of luggage.

Access to the Chapel of the Magi

Please note that the number of visitors allowed inside the Chapel of the Magi at any one time is restricted to allow access to all those visiting the premises. Access is limited to 10 people every 5 minutes, and the visit duration is 5 minutes.  You may be asked to wait in the Michelozzo Courtyard before entering.
