Ferragosto weekend in Palazzo Medici Riccardi

During the Ferragosto weekend, the Florentine Civic Museums and Palazzo Medici Riccardi will be open during their usual opening hours and will offer the opportunity to take part in a wide range of guided tours for adults and activities for families with children, organised by Fondazione MUS.E. These experiences will allow visitors to discover both the permanent collections and the temporary exhibitions.

At Palazzo Medici Riccardi, visitors can also enjoy — during the final month of opening — the exhibitions Giovan Battista Foggini. Grand Ducal Architect and Sculptor and Foggini’s Florence. Views by Paolo Bacherini, as well as the photography exhibition Timeless Portraits. Photographs by Rossano B. Maniscalchi in dialogue with the antique, on display in the Marble Museum of Palazzo Medici Riccardi.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, guided tours of the exhibitions and the Palazzo will be available, along with the family activity “The Practice of Sculpture”, designed for children and their families.
